Education Committee

The Education Committee is responsible for development of opportunities for the continuing education of the membership. (Bylaws Art. VI, Sec. lIc)  The Vice President/President Elect shall serve as chair of the committee.

Duties

  • Conducts a biennial survey of the membership concerning desired program topics.
  • Develops educational programs for the annual meeting.
  • Prepares, distributes and evaluates program evaluation forms.
  • Prepares a summary of the program evaluations and distributes it to all Executive Board members.
  • Sends a copy of the program evaluation summary and a copy of the program brochure to the AALL Director of Programs.
  • Distributes program bibliographies to the membership.

Policies

Program Content.  Chapter programs shall be designed to include content which addresses the educational needs of members from all types of libraries.
