WestPac Travel Grants |
WestPac provides travel grants for WestPac members to attend the AALL and WestPac Annual Meetings. Applicants should complete the appropriate forms upon their release. The successful applicants must be willing to write about their meeting experience for the newsletter and must be willing to serve on a WestPac committee of their choice.

WESTPAC ANNUAL MEETING TRAVEL GRANTS
The following grants were approved in August 2023 by the WestPac Executive Board and are available for the 2023 WestPac Annual Meeting in San Diego, California:
Two $750 WestPac Travel Grants
Two $500 WestPac Travel Grants
Two $500 D.J. Morrison Travel Grants for Electronic Services Librarians
WestPac Travel GrantTwo special (this year only) $750 travel grants to offset the costs of attending this year's conference in San Diego. Preference will be given to applicants who are presenting and have the largest cost burden. We are also offering two $500 WestPac Travel Grants to offset the costs of attending this year's conference in San Diego. Deadline for application to either: Friday, August 25, 5 PM Congratulations to the 2022 recipients: Kyle Brown, Reference Librarian at Seattle University Law School; Carla Bywaters, library science student at UNLV; and Sharalyn Williams, Head of Public Services Librarian at Gonzaga University School of Law. | DJ Morrison Grant Approved by WestPac Executive Board July 2005 DJ Morrison was a much esteemed and loved WestPac member who served as the Electronic Services Librarian at the State of Oregon Law Library before passing away in 2003. This grant was established in her honor, to provide financial assistance in attending WestPac’s Annual Meeting to those members pursuing careers or responsibilities in the area of electronic services. This grant carries a value of up to $1000.00, dependent on projected conference expenses and financial need expressed by the successful applicant. For 2023, we are offering two grants of $500 each. DIVERSITY & INCLUSION SCHOLARSHIPS
2023 Grant Details are Forthcoming
• Two $250 scholarships are available to off-set the cost of the 2022 Annual Meeting in Reno, Nevada.
• Applicants from historically underrepresented populations are encouraged to apply for the Scholarship by Monday, September 5, 2022.
• Receiving a Diversity & Inclusion Scholarship does not prevent you from applying for (and receiving) any other WestPac grant or scholarship.
