Conference Hotel & Registration

Whitney Peak Hotel Booking Link: use this link if staying within the booking period (Wednesday, September 28 - Saturday, October 1) or call the Hotel directly (775-398-5400) to reserve at the conference rate.

Travel from Airport to Hotel: This requires a rideshare (Uber or Lyft) because the Hotel has had trouble staffing its shuttle service due to the pandemic.

Parking at Hotel: complimentary self-parking and valet parking discounted to $10.

Conference Registration: Registration is scheduled for Thursday, September 29, from 1:00-6:00 PM, and Friday, September 30, from 7:30-9:00 AM, outside the conference space (Boundary Peak Ballroom), on the 3rd floor of the Whitney Peak Hotel.

Opening Reception

The Fleischmann Planetarium and Science Center will host the Opening Reception, sponsored by Procertas, on Thursday, September 29, 2022, from 6:30-9:30 PM.

Reconnect with friends and colleagues and enjoy all the Planetarium has to offer, including a 1500 square foot Exhibit Hall and a 60-seat Dome Theater with a show of our choice, a tour of the night sky and weather-permitting, a live telescope feed from the Canary Islands or Chile.

A Mediterranean buffet, with vegetarian options, refreshments, and desserts will be provided by Silver and Blue Catering.  

To help with travel to or from the Opening Reception, we are happy to offer attendees a $12 Lyft voucher (see email from Cory in your inbox).  For those who are renting a car, have their own in Reno, or can expense the trip, please consider becoming a captain on the Rideshare Sign-up (see email from Cory in your inbox) and taking along your colleagues.  Parking information for the Planetarium can be found HERE.
