As a Reference Librarian, you'll be joining a collaborative team that is not just excited about the present but also enthusiastic about shaping the future of legal information access.
Key Responsibilities: Under general supervision, you will have daily reference shifts, complete research requests, maintain our library's website and the acquisitions module in Koha, and craft and update engaging LibGuides. You'll have the opportunity to contribute to the overall success of the library by taking on various duties that align with your skills and interests.
Flexible Work Arrangements: As a valued member of our Reference Staff, we understand the importance of work-life balance. You'll have the option to work off-site one day a week, focusing on chat reference and engaging in creative projects such as developing innovative LibGuides. This flexibility allows you to showcase your talents and contribute to the library's growth while enjoying the benefits of a dynamic work environment.
Qualifications
· MLS or MLIS degree from an ALA-accredited program, or current enrollment in an academic program leading to a master’s degree in a program accredited by the ALA or an equivalent, accredited association.
· Strong reference and research skills developed over several years working in a law library.
· Technologically savvy with the ability to maintain and update a library website.
· Creative mindset for developing and revising LibGuides.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Salary Range
- $68,619.68 - $87,503.39 Annually.
- Please note the posted salary is based on the Employee/Employer paid contribution plan to PERS. Effective on or about July 1, 2024, the posted salary will be increased by 11%.
