Summary
As a Business & Legal Research Analyst, you will provide research support to lawyers, paralegals, and all firm staff. You must be able to quickly evaluate all research inquiries to determine the best methods and resources necessary to complete each request. You will prioritize requests, analyze results, compile answers, and communicate research findings in a clear and concise manner.
Location
This position can be remote. Candidates should reside within reasonable commuting distance to the home office and must be based in one of the following offices: Los Angeles, San Diego, San Francisco, Seattle, Palo Alto,or Phoenix office. The preferred hours for this position are 10am to 6:30pm PT.
Responsibilities

Conducts research and/or fact-checking in a wide range of topical areas including, but not limited to, legal, business/corporate, IP, public records, legislative history, and many others.

Showcase strong research skills including an ability to think critically about research tools, conduct cost-effective and efficient research, compile research results, summarize data, and communicate methodology and results clearly.

Regularly use and learn multiple research platforms, including, but not limited to, Lexis+, Westlaw Edge, Bloomberg Law, VitalLaw, Capital IQ, FactSet, Pitchbook, Docket Navigator, PatBase and many others
Desired Skills
Strong research skills required to conduct research on a variety of legal and business topics. Highly service-oriented. Specialized knowledge relating to specific legal practice areas (e.g., IP, Finance, Tax, etc.) is preferred. Strong interpersonal skills necessary to interact regularly with attorneys, clients, and staff. Ability to work quickly and efficiently and rearrange priorities as workload dictates. Ability to adapt and learn new tools and technology. Willing to work after normal business hours and or weekends when required.Experience with TRG’s Quest request management system and Vable’s current awareness platform are preferred.
